POMELO – A melon sized fruit that is in the grapefruit family. It originated in Asia, but is now grown in California as well. Look for heavy, sweet smelling fruit, and store in the fridge. Eat as you would a grapefruit, careful not to eat the pith, as it is inedible. It is an excellent source of vitamin C. As an excellent source of vitamin C I am proud to use the caption Pomelo C.
